Website Proposal

The
Brief

Orima are Australia’s largest provider of research, evaluation and data services to Government. 100% Australian-owned and established in 1997, they provide 20 years of growth and experience. The company is looking to re-design it's website inline with a recent brand refresh to better communicate value proposition(s), generate more qualified leads and drive brand awareness.

The website design will need to do this in accordance with web best practices to drive and retain online traffic, such as: usability, performance, SEO, and place a strong focus on informational clarity, design and agile content management.

The
‍Goals

Identify audience and business needs to craft your digital strategy

The conversation needs to be around what drives Orima, how your processes, values and standards align to deliver results, and what those results are. Your vision, value proposition and target audience(s) will drive in-depth discussion with key stakeholders to develop a robust website strategy aimed at connecting the value of your business with the needs of your users.

Be a leader — set the new standard

Rigorous market research is critical to determine what your competitors are doing — and what they aren't doing. These findings will be used throughout discovery to construct a solution that cuts through market competition and positions Orima as a market leader in research, evaluation and data analytics.

Develop a clear & deliberate information architecture

Critical to achieving the desired visitor behaviour is organizing information in a way that's intuitive and easy to find. There's a lot of content to organize — we'll map out user needs and flows to determine how to say what you need to say, and where to say it.

Putting performance first

Performance matters. Your site must look great and function even better. Maximising key metrics (load speed, security, cross-device responsiveness, semantic HTML structure and SEO metadata) are vital for SEO and usability. We'll build the back-end with Orima's processes and business goals in mind, allowing for agile content management, scalability and flexibility.

Building for the future

Developing a back-end that allows staff and stakeholders to easily update and manage content is critical for a company operating at scale. Guides, training and a compact back-end framework are all important factors in ensuring your site is managed with ease long after it's launched.

Generate qualified leads and brand awareness

The ability to provide users with information and content they can relate to will determine the level of value Orima is able to establish with your user-base. This value will be leveraged to drive lead generation, enquiries and traffic retention — key metrics associated with the success of the website.

The
Process

1

Discovery

The goal of discovery is not just to define the content of the website that should be created, but to maximize its chance of succeeding. Building and launching a new website is an extremely complex process that requires a great strategy and a lot of planning, as well as maximum involvement from a number of different project stakeholders. It's about getting under the hood of your business, your competitors and your audience to craft and define a strategy that will ensure success of the final product.

Design

The design phase covers the visual aspect of the project that is to be created. It focuses on defining benchmarks as well as key elements like colours, layout, style and prototyping your site statically before it is built. Reviewing, amending and approving a static version of the product prevents any unforeseen changes during the development phase - ensuring your project is delivered on time, on brand and within budget.

2

Development

The development phase is about bringing your product to life. The framework is built, images and text are populated and animations are all developed locally before deploying to a server for review and testing. All SEO best practices are considered during the build process to ensure your site performs optimally in search results.

Testing

Before the site is launched, it will be deployed on a server where only internal audiences and stakeholders have access. Testing of the site is critical to determine and fix and issues before the site goes live. We will test across multiple browsers (Firefox, Safari, Internet Explorer, Chrome) and devices (laptops, tablets, and mobile) to see if, and where, breaks occur.

Training

Updating copy, making changes to images and adding posts or case studies are things that you should be able to manage internally. Two training sessions are undertaken at the completion of the project to ensure you have all the knowledge and tools required to update your site whenever you want. If there is ever any larger work required, or issues, I am always just a phone call away.
